Getting a back stage pass is a big deal! It's like getting a glimpse into another world that one can only dream about from glancing at the outside of a magazine cover like Rolling Stone. But Hallmark Museum of Contemporary Photography's new exhibit, "Rock and Roll", the images of Lynn Goldsmith, has the power to transport the viewer to behind-the-scenes moments that capture the musical legends of rockers like David Bowie, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and Debbie Harry. Within the blink of an eye, you become an intimate part of the action and documentation of an entire generation of Rock and Roll.

May 27, 2009 • Museum & Students Team To Benefit Doctors
Brighten up your world and help our global community at the same time! Hosting its third Annual Spring Exhibition & Benefit Print Sale, June 19 through June 29, 2008, Hallmark Museum of Contemporary Photography is once again collaborating with volunteer students from Hallmark Institute of Photography, to benefit Doctors Without Borders. A festive public celebration with refreshments and live music will be held Saturday, June 21 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Gallery 85, Avenue A, Turners Falls, Massachusetts, to promote this event.

May 25, 2009 • Photographer Chronicles Journey To Save Homeland
Childhood memories inspire global photographer, Andarge Asfaw's journey home to Ethiopia after a 27-year hiatus, to capture his native land's exquisite beauty, and its deeply imbedded religious and historical significance. The land as he remembered it is threatening to disappear completely due to the ravages of deforestation. The ecological balance and the very survival of Ethiopia's cultural heritage are in great peril. Andarge hopes his photographs will help Ethiopia's "soul" to endure by promoting awareness of its plight, and affecting positive changes.

January, 19 2008 • Art and Science Meet in Dual Exhibits at Expanded Photo Museum
Celebrating the opening of three additional gallery spaces, and beginning its third year, lively times are predicted during the event-filled opening of the expanded Hallmark Museum of Contemporary Photography. Photographers Susan kae Grant, and Paul Taylor, whose diverse images bracket the spectrum of contemporary and historic styles of photography, will be featured in exhibits at HMCP's original museum gallery and, in the museum's new second-building galleries. "Themes and Variations," by New Hampshire-based photographer and master printer Paul Taylor, begins January 17, 2008 at the museum's Gallery 85, on the corner of 3rd Street. Susan kae Grant, of Dallas, Texas, opens with "Night Journey" at Galleries 52 and 56, on the corner of 2nd Street, January 19, 2008. The museum buildings are located in downtown Turners Falls, Massachusetts. Exhibits continue through March 16, 2008.
